Volunteer Openings

We have many volunteer opportunities.  We will post openings on this page and announce them at meetings. 


Interested volunteers may write to SeattleIANDS@yahoo.com or call 206.525-5489.  Please include your name, phone number, and the volunteer opportunity you are interested in.

If you have a skill you would like to offer that doesn't match one of the positions listed below, please let us know.



AV technician:
Requires attendance at monthly Seattle IANDS meetings to:
  • Ensure recorder and microphones are set up and working 
  • Operate and monitor digital recorder and/or laptop recorder
  • Suggest improvements to acquire more quality recordings
  • After meeting, send recorded audio file to Audio Editor volunteer

CD administrator: 
Requires attendance at monthly Seattle IANDS meetings and uses email to: 
  • Prepare a CD signup sheet prior to meeting
  • Take orders for CD's at meeting
  • Keep a record of CD requests and fulfillment of orders
  • Communicate to Audio Disc Creator volunteer the quantity of CD's to make

Audio Disc creator:
Does not require attendance at meetings; however
this person can conveniently serve as CD administrator also if they attend meetings
  • Receives edited audio file electronically from Audio Editor
  • Burns CD audio discs to meet the number requested
  • Labels CD audio discs
  • Arranges to get completed CD's to CD administrator
